Thom's scope consists of a Meade 8" SCT optical tube on a Celestron CG5-AS computerized mount. The piggybacked guide scope is an Orion ST-80. Thome also has an SBIG ST-5C CCD camera which he uses to image as well as using it as a guider for film photographs. |
