IC 434 and The Horsehead Nebula

A close-up of the famous "Horsehead" nebula. The Horsehead is actually a cloud of dark material in front of a luminous cloud of hydrogen, IC 434. The bright star with nebulosity around it at the bottom of the frame is NGC 2023.
